ONTD Original: Utada Hikaru's 'Exodus'-The Genius J-Pop Crossover Album That Never Crossed Over

$
0
0

-A global superstar and icon who was born in New York City, and in her respective country (Japan) has sold over 37 million records who writes and sings her own songs.

-Utada who attended Columbia University, branched out to the Western audience in 96 before her debut in Japan a year later.

-By 2002 when she signs a deal with Island Def Jam Records, she is a bonafide superstar in Japan with her album 'First Love' becoming the best selling pop album ever.

-Her intro to the American market was through The Neptunes via Foxy Brown for the Rush Hour 2 OST

-With already built pressure to crossover and become a cross-cultural Asian superstar that could compete in two continents, and was perceived by the press as an alternative to Britney and Christina at the time. Utada said that she couldn't relate to her American counterparts/pop music at the time.

-She would debut with another English album in 08, but the Western public's whack taste have faltered yet again.

-Exodus 04 was released on October 5, 2004 to little fanfare and noise in the States.

-The album had little support from radio/video outlets and the songs never cracked the Top 100, and debuted at #160 on Top 200. With the expectation of The Devil Inside which hit #1 on Dance Hits.

-Utada and Teruzane (her father/producer/manager) went to a different direction with her album, and wanted to make something more eccentric than the R&B infused sound that Def Jam wanted her in.

-"Despite everything, critical reception to Exodus was positive. AllMusic described it as the "American arrival of an unusual and challenging artist"; USA Today, somewhat prophetically, offered that she was "more than a ghost in her own machine."

-"At various points, Exodus seems prescient of how pop music would adapt to an increasingly digitized world."

-"It sounds homemade and glossy at the same time; introverted and confessional while presented as a mainstream option; it insists on being sexy, weird and vulnerable, all at the same time, ideas and emotions appearing and updating like an RSS feed."

Sam Smith
Good for Sam coming into their own and embracing themselves. I don’t have an issue with it. But sometimes they’re just doing too much. Case in point, the Instagram post above (now deleted) with the caption: “Stages of a quarantine meltdown.” Um yeah, put the poppers down por favor Samuel.

Niall Horan
We had a dedicated post on it. I’ll just include his most cringeworthy tweet that I’ve seen. Tho he still continues to tweet excessively after his album flopped in the US so I’m certain he’s topped this with another tweet. Probably. Idk. New Angel is a bop at least.

Troye Sivan
He’s reaching Niall levels of annoying and over tweeting about literally everything and anything.

Chrissy Teigen
Some would argue she’s BEEN doing a lot on social media for sometime. And trading banana bread for romaine lettuce with a YouTuber on social media made for an “interesting story” and post. I guess. But it wasn’t enough.

Justin Bieber
Biebs desperation on social media leading up to the release of his underperforming album “Changes” was a cringeworthy sight to behold. He also wanted to fight Tom Cruise. He’s still tweeting his flop album out to his followers and dropping Changes mixtapes. No new songs tho. He also cancelled his tour. Now he can truly hide behind the Coronavirus as “the reason” for those abysmal ticket sales.

Which celebs are doing too much and who did you have to recently unfollow or block on social media?

ONTD Original: The Best Show You Aren't Watching, Quarantine Edition -Toast of London

$

My darlingsssSSss, it is time I share with you one of my favourite show of all times, one that I quote almost on a daily basis (and nobody gets it!), a show that made me love forever Matt Berry -who truly deserves ALL THE LOVE

Today’s Recommendation:
Toast of London

(source)
Genre: Comedy
Length: 30 mins.

Why Should I watch this show?
Because nobody has as much charismaaahhh as Steven Toast, except for John Hamm, of course.
Struggling actor Steven Toast and his roommate Ed, navigate life as actors in London. Together with his agent, Jane Plough (pronounced “pluff”), Toast fails at pretty much everything while being iconic. Toast’s main source of income is voiceovers, directed by two t*ats, which give space to some of the best moments of the show. Toast has a vicious hate relationship with Ray Purchase, who (mostly because Toast regularly sleeps with his wife, Mrs Purchase) tries to ruin him in every possible way. Every second of this show is iconic! Toast dubs the voice of a NUKELAAAR SUMBARIIIINEEE, ruins the play with the longest run, spills one of the biggest secret of history on Lorraine, gets a very special phone, gifts Prince Charles a pair of plastic titts, and SO. MUCH. MORE.

Here some highlights to convince you:

(source)

Honourable Mentions: Literally everyone. Even Blair Toast.

Where can I watch it?

  • All4 (in the UK)

  • Netflix

  • Your usual places that sSsnakey won't say

ONTD, can you hear me? Will you watch this show?

TOP 4!

Again, there are some surprises. Mainly 2.

PUT THAT VOTE BACK OR SO HELP ME: Monsters Inc. Beats Finding Nemo. Good. Isn't it weird that their sequels/prequels were better?

Me @ people who missed the voting.

I DON'T REMEMBER A QUOTE FROM EITHER MOVIE BC I HATE THEM BOTH: Up beats Inside Out.

THOUGH I HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE, REMEMBER ME: Coco is still in the competition, but Wall-E is not. Keep repairing earth, little dude!

Dante is the best.

TASTE WINS: I can't believe we were this close to living in a world where people think Ratatouille is better than the Incredibles, but the Parr's prevail!

Helen shutting away the haters.

Though I do love the quote "I’d rather watch a cute rodent doing his best than watch a 50s white family running around in tights! And that’s on animal rights activism." from musicnkisses

So, let's vote!

My darlingssSS, I hope your spirits are still up despite prolongued lockdowns in certain countries. Today I am bringing you one of the brainchildren of the amazing Richard Ayoade. Ladies and gentlmen, today's recomendation is:

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

(source)
Genre: Comedy/Horror
Lenght: 30 mins per episode. Six episodes.

Why should I watch this show?
This is the most idiotic yet brilliant thing you'll watch, featuring UK tv's bests: Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade.
The premise of the tv is simple, yet genius: a long lost 80s tv masterpiece finds the light of day. The show is so terrible that is amazing. It truly has an 80s feeling and will give you the necessary escapism we all need in this dark times. From dark times, to darkplace!

Here's a little highlight:

Where can I watch it?

  • Youtube

  • All4 (in the UK)

  • Hulu NOT! google is a filthy liar!

  • Your usual places that sSsnakey won't say

ONTD, I hope you're all safe. Happy passover / easter / friday.  Would you like to see more ridiculous and funny shows, or more highbrow stuff?

Who or what still sounds better than Camila Cabello singing? Well...

1. Sarah from Girls Aloud singing The Loving Kind

She really went for it! Bless.

2. goodgalriri singing Mariah Carey’s Hero

3. These 2 territorial cats

4. Selena Gomez singing live at the 2019 AMAs

5. William Hung singing She Bangs on Idol

6. Fergie singing the National Anthem

7. Mariah Carey’s NYE Performance

Even on Mimi’s worst day she remains iconic. Respect.

8. “The Weeknd” singing Usher’s Climax

9. Kim Zolciak-Biermann singing Tardy for the Party Live

10. Cassie singing “Me & U” Live

11. SpongeBob singing the no. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit Striped Sweater

12. Shawn Mendes’ Voice Cracking Compilation

Most would argue this is just as bad and I wouldn’t disagree tbh.

Basically...
Stream Normani and Ally Brooke instead tbh.
Queens.

COCO takes UP down, and, surprisingly, Monsters Inc beats The Incredibles. I really thought this would be Coco vs. The Incredibles. But alas, here we go.

ONTD Original: The Best Show You Aren't Watching, Quarantine Edition - Father Ted

My darlingssSSs, today is Easter so i decided to recomend you the best show about about catholic priests, one of the best show to ever take place in Ireland, a true representation of priesthood, ONTD today I recomend you:
Father Ted

(source)
Genre: Comedy/Satire
Lenght: 30 mins.

Why should I watch it?
Well, that would be a eucumenical matter.  If you haven't watched this show yet, do yourself a favour and laugh with me. Father Ted is a priest, who lives on tiny (fictional) Craggy Island (Co Clare irl I think?) together with young and dumb priest Dougal, old and alcoholic Father Jack (and his pet brick at some point), and Mrs Doyle. His life is everything but quiet, and leads the wee priest group to incredible and hilarious adventures.

Now you are probably wondering why I'm recomending you this show. Well, my darlingssSS in the mid 90s when this show came out it WAS A BIG DEAL, making fun of the church and priests *clutching pearls oh my... but almost 25 years after its first episode aired it is still a wonderful show, that will make you laugh like few other shows could.

Here's the best bop that Ireland has ever produced

(source)

Where can I watch it?

  • All4

  • Amazon Prime

  • RTE Player

  • Your usual places Snakey won't say.

Happy Easter, ONTD! I hope you are taking care of yourself and ate some yummy food.

ONTD Original: Ugliest Celebrity Tattoo Tournament - Nominations Post

via GIPHY

Hello ONTD, since we're all still stuck inside and due to popular demand, irajaxon and I are proud to present the Ugliest Celebrity Tattoo Tournament!

HOW IT WORKS

- you can nominate as many celebrities as you want

- please wait to nominate until irajaxon has added all categories in the comments section.

- yes, there are categories to make our lives a bit easier. irajaxon came up with a great list of categories:

worst black and grey tattoo
worst full colour tattoo
worst script tattoo
worst portrait tattoo
worst tattoo placement
worst overall collection
worst face tattoo(s)
wild card, up to you!

- just like with year-end posts, you make your nomination comment to the category comment (please include/link an image)

- there will be two tattoos from each category (hopefully) and then they will be seeded against other categories properly and not thematically (so apologies, we may not have fun bracket names this time)

- but wait! what about tattoos like cheryl cole's that have awful placement and are in full colour?!?! here's the deal: tattoos can be nominated for multiple categories, but the category the tattoo gets the most +1s will move forward.

- if you agree with someone else's nomination, reply to it with a +1. i know we're able to like comments now, but not all ONTDers have the feature yet! so let's keep it old school for now.

- try to keep comments on-topic but we're not your parents or your mods.

- this post is the nomination post, we will be closing comments on tuesday, april 14 so we can start counting, here are the rest of the dates:

april 19 - sweet sixteen
april 26 - quarter finals
may 3 - semi finals
may 10 - final
may 13 - ugliest revealed

9 Youtube Channels To Teach You Something (FuN!) This Quarantine

$

Disclaimer blah blah blah I don't know the deep, dark secrets of the channels or people spotlighted here. So far, for now, they're just cool and teach you a little something more than 'nobody instathot is fighting nobody twitter user'

"We're the men, and here's the map."

Jay Foreman, a British dude who talks about the civic geology (is that a word?) of the British Isles.
Kind of like CGP Grey, but funnier. I totally expected this to be a straightforward channel until I kept watching and saw the odd little jokes.

"And I've never been a black woman, not even for an hour."
(The context is not bad, trust me).

ToonrificTariq, beause I can't be the only black person trying to educate ya'll about animation. The above is an almost hour and a half episode about The Proud Family - WITH Bruce W. Smith, the creator! It's not a straightforward talk, but an interview cut into a walkthroug.

"'I've been the most glorious hat model the world has ever seen....so I'm gonna take a break."

I'm no fashionista or have any sense of style besides "It fits.", but I really enjoy HauteLeMode.  I can't recommend any other fashion youtube channel bc this is the only one I watch. There's history and criticisms of modern fashion happenings. My personal favorite episode is this one.

"I used to toss the CDs around my room."

CompanyMan talks about those bastions of capitalism - companies! From big to small. It's more fun than it sounds. Slightly.

"They had this absolutely terrifying face character - Seriously - who designed this?"

Many of you probably already know Kevin Perjure, or Defunctland, who talks about defunct theme parks and attractions. And yes, he does talk about Superstar Limo and Action Park.

"Yes, this man has highly volatile chemicals under his suit, on the off chance there are some criminals he can use it on."

ComicTropes is like Atop the 4th Wall (Who you should also be watching), but the episodes are much shorter and focus a lot of the evolution of styles of certain creators and some random stuff that you probably never heard of.

"Now, there have been plenty of typos throughout history..."

If the voice sounds familiar, the owner is also Wendover Productions, where he usually talks a great deal about planes. But Half as Interesting, it's about 'things that are only interesting enough to fill 4 go 5 minutes, plus ad." Don't worry, they're still interesting.

"Tag us on instagram if you get this [a pancake flip] on the first try!"

I meant to put Future Neighbor on my post about food youtubers, so now I'm doing it here. Shout out to the one person on here who said this was their relative! Daniel and Katie have fans here!

ONTD Original: (some of) the best Glee performances

$
0
0

• We all know what Glee was. We either loved it, hated it, hated how much we loved it, or loved it and then hated it and then came back around to loving it. To be a Glee fan was to live a confused and tortured existence. It was an undeniable phenomenon its first three seasons, and then it fizzled out and, after six seasons, it quietly went off the air in 2015.

• Recently the show has become a nostalgic fave, so I decided to make a post sharing some of their best performances. Note that I am not saying these performances are better than the original like the tweet says, I'm just saying they are some of the best the show produced over six seasons.

Nasty/Rhythm Nation (S5E9 "The Puppet Master")

In season 4 Glee introduced a number of new characters to replace those that graduated in the previous season. One of them was Puck's half-brother Jake, who was better than Puck in every single possible way. After some mild character assassination, Jake (and the majority of the cast) was written out in the middle of season 5. His last solo performance was this Janet Jackson mash-up. It ruled.

Songbird (S2E19 "Rumours")

It took nearly an entire seasons for the Glee writers to explore Santana's sexuality and treat her journey with respect. Once she was honest with herself and Brittany, she was able to give her most breathtaking performance on the show.

Not The Boy Next Door (S3E18 "Choke")

Eight years later and I'm still bitter that Kurt didn't get into NYADA on the first try, but Rachel choked and got in anyways.

Ain't No Way (S2E17 "A Night of Neglect")

I'm 1000% certain that no one is in character for those reaction shots, and honestly same.

Teenage Dream (S2E6 "Never Been Kissed")

This was lightning in a bottle. For the rest of its run the show tried to replicate a character introduction/ship moment as good as this and they never once came close.

Stronger (S2E2 "Britney/Brittany")

I don't know what Glee wanted to accomplish with the Artie/Tina/Mike love triangle, but at least we got Artie's best solo out of it.

Run Joey Run (S1E17 "Bad Reputation")

This choice is more 'most fun performance' than 'best performance', but this is my list and I can do whatever I want.

Lucky (S2E4 "Duets")

This one is actually better than the original.

It's Too Late (S6E3 "Jagged Little Tapestry")

It should be funny that Kurt and Blaine's best non-holiday duet came from an episode where they were broken up, but it just makes my former-Klaine stan self really sad.

River Deep, Mountain High (S2E4 "Duets")

Every Mercedes and Santana duet is great, but the energy in this number is unbeatable.

Faithfully (S1E22 "Journey to Regionals)

Finn and Rachel's relationship drama was so exhausting that it was easy to scoff at the idea that they ever had any chemistry. But they did. This was Finchel at their best and brightest.

Rumour Has It/Someone Like You (S3E6 "Mash Off")

Troubletones for life.

Somebody To Love (S1E5 "The Rhoes Not Taken")

The first performance of the New Directions in their full season 1 glory, and it was pretty fucking spectacular.

Jump (S1E12 "Mattress")

Glee was so much fun when they went full-tilt ridiculous.

Express Yourself (S1E15 "The Power of Madonna")

New Directions girls >>>>>>> New Directions boys.

Homeward Bound/Home (S4E8 "Thanksgiving")

Perfectly captured that weird, bittersweet feeling you have when you come home from college for the first time and see all your old friends. I cried so hard when Quinn hugged Finn.

Closer (S4E16 "Feud")

New Directions 2.0 were different than the original New Directions. They were more adorable, sweeter, and the characters actually liked each other for longer than the length of one musical number. Seeing them jump around and have fun was refreshing after three seasons of teammates being terrible to each other.

Don't Stop Believin' (S1E22 "Journey to Regionals")

They performed this song six times on the show (technically seven if you want to count the time they reaired the original performance at the end of the penultimate episode of the series)! It was their signature song, but this was definitely their best version. Triumphant and fully realized, it was so good that it made their loss at this competition hurt even more.

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (S5E11 "City of Angels")

After a full season and a half New Directions 2.0 finally made it to Nationals, and their setlist served as a tribute to Finn who had spent most of season 4 as their temporary coach. They end up losing for plot reasons (within the next two episodes Mr. Schue, Sue, McKinley, and every member of the club besides Artie, Sam, and Blaine were written out of the rest of the season. Glee was so messy). This was one of the only times the show used footage of Finn for flashbacks and it made the performance all the more heartfelt.

Bohemian Rhapsody (S1E22 "Journey to Regionals")

Jesse St. James was the best and I miss him every day.

Paradise By The Dashboard Light (S3E21 "Nationals")

The show spent three years building up to this one performance, and it didn't disappoint.

if i didn't include your favorite performance, share yours in the comments!

tweet/v1/v2/v3/v4/v5/v6/v7/v8/v9/v10/v11/v12/v13/v14/v15/v16/v17/v18/v19/v20/v21

    Inspector Montalbano

(source)
Genre: Crime (fictional)
Lenght: 100 mins per episode

Why should I watch this show?
Because it is based on the best series of novels Italy has made in the past few decades. If you like crime/detective shows, with wonderful scenery this is the show for you.

Salvo Montalbano is the local chief inspector in tiny (fictional) Sicilian village of Vigata.Together with his team and his bright intellect solves all sorts of crime which happens in the little southerner village. The show is closely based to the series of novels written by Andrea Camilleri (rip), and does not just simply portray interesting crime stories but also stunning visuals of Sicily (and sicilian food!)

Here a little clip to give you a wee taste of the show (the show is available in English, Spanish and other languages, unfortunatelly I could only find trailers with subtitles. I hope it doesn't put you off!)

(source)

Where can I watch it?

  • BBC Four / iPlayer (in English)

  • Rai Play (Rai 1 on Mondays, so i guess Rai Int too?)

  • Youtube (in various languages)

  • Amazon Prime (Italian and English, and other languages apparently)

  • Your usual places Snakey won't ssSay.

ONTD, do you like crime fiction? I'd like to post about shows from all over the world, do you have any recs? Do you wish you were on holidays in Sicily right now, devouring cannoli like Salvo Montalbano? If you could travel and go on holidays anywhere in the world where would you go?

ONTD Original: The most hopeful and inspiring moments from Lord of the Rings

These are stressful times for everyone, and we could all use something to lift our spirits. And for me, personally, and probably many other movie fans out there, few film series inspire more hope in the human spirit than LOTR. The book trilogy was hugely influenced by Tolkien's experiences of World War One, and all the themes of death, strife and evil are all constantly imbued with and balanced out by the themes of love, friendship, hope and faith - which eventually turn out to be victorious. Here are a few scenes I've compiled which I think should provide comfort and optimism to anyone. (Side-note: If you haven't watched LOTR, and are looking to watch something during quarantine, then you cannot do any better than this flawless masterpiece).

1. Gandalf comforts Frodo in the shadows of Moria

Beaten, exhausted and shocked after finding out that Gollum had been doing a Stalker Sarah on the Fellowship for weeks, Frodo laments, "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had ever happened." To which Gandalf replies, "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

2. Frodo leaves the Fellowship to go to Mordor - and Sam follows him

Gandalf's TED Talk above proved to be so effective that its memory surfaces as Frodo prepares to leave the Fellowship to go to Mordor alone, giving him the final push to get over his fear and set out by himself. Fortunately for him, the ever-flawless Samwise Gamgee shows up and almost drowns in refusal to abandon his friend.

3. Gandalf Returns

Gandalf returns as Gandalf the White, a more skilled and powerful wizard, giving a much-needed burst of hope to his weary and worn-out friends.

4. FORTH, EORLINGAS!

Just as Theoden rides out to meet the Uruk-hai at the battle of Helm's Deep, Gandalf arrives as he had promised with reinforcements with the Riders of Rohan. The score, the cinematography, the build-up and payoff was just... *chef's kiss*

(remember when D&D compared the Battle for Winterfell to Helm's Deep? lol.)

5. Sam's speech in Osgiliath

Many fans consider this to be the best speech in the entire trilogy, and for good reason. It's perfect for the age of the coronavirus, yet speaks to any one of us going through tough times. Sniff.

6. King Theoden's Battle Speech

There are so many things that make this scene perfection - most of all, the underlying sense that the odds are entirely stacked against Theoden and his Rohirrim, yet the former still managing to unleash an awe-inspiring speech that energises his men and will have the audience screaming "DEAAAAATHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" along with Eowyn, Merry and all the other characters on the screen.

7. Eowyn meets the Witch-King of Angmar

Eomer, hew? The good sis Eowyn stole our hearts as well as the Witch-King's head, uttering the now famous cry, "I am no man!" Awesome? You bet.

8. Aragorn's speech at the Black Gate

This scene is too magnificent to describe so I'll just c/p the entire speech here:

"My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of Men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!"

9. Sam carries Frodo on Mount Doom

Utterly spent and exhausted (no, not like that, get your minds out the gutter, and yes I was in the LOTR fandom for years so you know what the fuck I'm talking about), Frodo collapses and weeps that he is too weak to continue. Sam refuses to give up, and says that even if he can't carry the ring, he can carry Mr. Frodo.

10. My friends, you bow to no-one

THE SCENE. THE scene that is guaranteed to make you cry every. damn. time. you watch it.

ONTD ORIGINAL: Quarantine Must-Haves from GOOP!

Hello my peasants, poors, and poverty-stricken pansexuals! Tis I, your favorite god-DESS de goop, luvthatdrtywata. Having been on my dear friend and co-defendant Jared Leto's silent retreat, I was blissfully unawares of this "coronavirus" that has suddenly stricken so many in the pauper community, including my dear, sweet Rita Wilson, who so selflessly used her illness to highlight the issue of rich, white women with sons who look like unemployed fry cooks. Stay strong, Ritz, we're rooting for you!

In an effort to do my part from the comfort and respite of my quaint 12,000 square foot ski chalet in Jackson Hole, I've simply SCOURED goop.com's quarantine commodities to turn your social distancing into social distingué. So grab your one-time, government-issued, coronavirus stimulus check and stimulate yourself with the most over-priced junk on the 'net!

JOSH HARRY PRO DRYER 2000
US $249
Have you always wondered how Gwyneth Paltrow gets her hair so thin and stringy? Well wonder no more! For just $249, you can purchase this Harry Josh Pro Dryer 2000, named after the last year anyone looked to Gwyneth Paltrow for style tips. It has all the dryer power of air, but with a convenient 9-foot long cord you can use to hang yourself with because you're a sucker who bought a $250 hair dryer in the middle of a pandemic where 20 million Americans are now unemployed! And it's GREEN! SOURCE

ANZA WHITE ESPRESSO MACHINE
US $1,275.00
If, like me, you're positively knackered from all the nothing you've been doing, I cannot recommend this Anza expreso...excpresso...espresso machine enough! With my coke dealer on lockdown, this is just the little, white pick me up momma needs to make it through another day in corona paradise, baby! SOURCE

GOOP ESSENTIAL PANTRY SET
US $335.00
Word on the privately-patrolled, gated-streets is that the Type-2's were run amok filling their cupboards with assorted sundries and something called Little Debbie snack cakes in the run-up to this wretched isolation endeavor. For those with more discerning palates, however, I suggest the goop essentials pantry set. As you can see, there is nothing in the jars because Gwyneth need'th edible sustenance, she is fueled by sunshine, high-end moisturizer, and her Chris Coldplay alimony cheques. SOURCE

DRX SPECTRALITE™ FACEWARE PRO
US $435.00
According to my ex-lover and current Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, we don't need masks, but out of respect for my household staff, who are still working and are not allowed to leave the estate to visit their families under any circumstances, I purchased this high tech face mask. I assume it gives me some sort of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle powers to fight this flu but who can say? Certainly not the Santa Clara County District Attorney office, no matter how many times they try and sue goop for not having "competent and reliable science." Just because you won in court, doesn't mean you and the other nine state prosecutors were right, Susan! SOURCE

Okay poors, this was tres fun, but I do have to get back to my new role of Chief White House press secretary. Turns out Kayleigh was racist but not racist enough, plus her name is stupid. All of you, stay safe, stay inside, and stay goopy!

XOXO, luvthatdrtywayta

There are a lot of things to miss about going to the movies: the previews, the gigantic screen, the complete immersion in a film of your choosing… maybe even a refreshing beverage and wildly under-or-over buttered popcorn. But there are definitely some advantages to a home theater set-up: no one’s on their phone/talking, you can eat or drink whatever you'd like, and you can pause to pee if the need arises. Since we're still not ready to head back to the theater, here are some movies you can watch any way you’d like - in bed, on the couch, on an iPad while you workout, whatever floats your boat.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have already come to VOD: April 10th, April 3rd, and March 27th.
