Thursday, March 13 marked a decade since Marina Diamandis released FROOT, her third studio album and her last to be released under the "Marina & the Diamonds" moniker.
Released three years after Electra Heart, her cult classic foray into pure pop, FROOT saw Diamandis stripping way back. She received sole writing credit for the album's 12 tracks, all co-produced with David Kosten (aka Faultline). It earned a Metascore of 75 based on 19 reviews and became Diamandis' first album to debut in the top ten of the Billboard 200 (at number eight).
To celebrate the album's 10th anniversary, Diamandis has announced the release of a "scratch and sniff" limited edition 2LP EcoRecord, to be shipped in July. It will include as a bonus track "I'm Not Hungry Anymore," a beloved outtake from the album that was performed on the singer-songwriter's Love + Fear Tour.
