Lady Gaga deserves an Academy Award alone for her performance in the promotion of 'House of Gucci' - providing us with more entertainment than the movie did. A few highlight quotes from her press tour below:
1. When she said she became swarmed by an army of flies while portraying Patrizia Gucci: “I knew I had to say goodbye to her: Large swarms of flies kept following me around, and I truly began to believe that she had sent them. I was ready to let her go.”
2. When she said she wrote an entire 80-page biography of Patrizia to prepare for the role: "I wrote like an 80-page biography about her myself, and it was something that I worked off of and I read all the time to just get the story, her backstory, inside of me."
3. When she feared Patrizia would kill her: “I wondered all the time when I was in Italy if [Patrizia] was going to show up... I mean, she’s out of jail. There was a safety element.”
4. When she claimed she needed a psychiatric nurse on set: “I had a psychiatric nurse with me towards the end of filming. I sort of felt like I had to. I brought the darkness with me home because her life was dark.”
5. When she experienced psychological difficulty from being in character: “I was either in my hotel, living and speaking as Reggiani, or I was on set. I went out one day for a walk. I hadn’t taken a walk in two months and I panicked. I thought I was on a movie set. I fell apart.”
