The outfit itself is a fun/ridiculous one (PJs and stilettos!), but it's the context that matters most here. Selena Gomez was serving a boatload of looks during her visit to Paris in the fall of 2015. She'd wear three to four different outfits a day for the short time she was there, and each piece she wore sold out within minutes. She had found success as a candid model before this, but it was the first time she did a series of outfits like that (and not the last). So seeing her rock a set of Derek Rose PJs in some fucking heels outta nowhere was pretty memorable.

During her Oops! tour, Britney Spears performed Born To Make You Happy wearing a cropped kitten t-shirt, white pants made of a light and flowy material, and a pair of stuffed bunnies attached to her sneakers to make them look like slippers. This all took place in a bedroom setting in the most innocent of ways. It was so cute and ridiculous, just like Queeney herself.

PJ queen. She wore a $400+ Fleamadonna pajama outfit while candidly strolling NYC. The source showcases a handful of other times Rihanna sported dream-chic. The reason it works is because she truly doesn't give a shit. Some would argue that her personal style is best defined as being the epitome of dressing up for yourself. Truly an inspiration tbh
